I got an early listen and this thing RIPS. Preorder it so you can turn off the lights and pour yourself a drink on Halloween and drink in one of the best Vampire tales you have never seen!
It is definitely one best listened to on headphones in a darkened room and let’s hope some more lost or unmade movies silent or otherwise find their way to an audience via the power of audio.
The cast is fantastic, really selling every scene and moment. The score is also great, giving an unnerving gothic feel, also occassionally nicely transitioning into diegetic music within the scenes themselves. The production is top notch with little sounds in every scene, provided by the mixing or the cast, that really sell the scenes and let them feel so real... All in in all, it's a great atmospheric piece that is perfect for Halloween season.
The script for this audio adaption, by Lance Roger Axt & Kenton Hall is brilliant and engaging. The production is deliberately atmospheric, with a slow murky piano tune leading us through this gothic mystery. The sound production is expertly sharp highlighting all the action as it transpires. The visuals that the film would have displayed are described in natural dialogue that is subtle and isn’t forced, that’s excellent writing. The actors are powerful in their roles...
